FDB Møbler - FDB Furniture J148

FDB furniture

Designserie by Erik Ole Jørgensen

The spindle-back sofa series that Erik Ole Jørgensen designed for FDB became one of their greatest successes when launched in the 1970s.

A success that still resonates today and makes this instantly recognisable design a true classic and a timeless exponent of Danish furniture design.

Thís comfortable furniture series exudes a design and craft-based confidence and has a lightness to it that makes it equally suited for private homes or public settings.

Still produced by FDB Møbler today, his spindle-back sofa comes in two different lengths, J148 and J149. Add to this his armchairs, J146 og J147, and the folding chair, J138.

The folding chair was originally designed in 1978 and later reintroduced on the market in 2023. Its frame is made from oiled oak, and its seat, back and cushion are all made with 100% linen (Øko-Tex) in a natural sandy-coloured shade.

As the chair is completely collapsible, it takes up very little space when stored: a functional piece of furniture in a sophisticated Danish design.
