Erik Ole Jørgensen
ARCHITECT & DESIGNER

Bovirke
Bovirke was a prominent furniture workshop, founded in the 1940s by Poul. H. Lund, Vejle, that played a notable role in the golden age of Danish modern design. Although the company only existed for a relatively short time, it left a deep mark on design history through collaborations with groundbreaking designers.
They were known for combining craftsmanship and industry to create iconic designer furniture that represented modernism. The furniture was produced with a focus on quality.
In addition to his collaboration with Erik Ole Jørgensen, Bovirke collaborated with other notable talents, including Finn Juhl and Arne Vodder. Their projects introduced innovative combinations of materials – from wood and metal to suede – demonstrating Bovirke’s forward-thinking approach. As a result, the workshop became both a laboratory for modern design experiments and a reliable hub for high-quality production.
